The TELUS Fire on Ice musical fireworks will project you into a universe of shapes and colors,
Countries and regions such as Russia, Austria, Germany, Belgium , France, Québec and many more will be present.
This village will allow the festival-goers to celebrate and enjoy customs of different communities and origins. Traditional dishes, local wines, crafts and much more awaits the visitors!

During the Old Montreal’s Extravaganza festivities, Guidatour is offering you its popular Christmas-themed walking tour of the old city. Led by a professional guide, participants will wander through the historic streets, from Victoria Square to Bonsecours Market, discovering the secrets of Christmases past. A voyage through
time, you will be introduced to the origins of holiday traditions that have been part of our culture for many years. New France customs in particular will surely fascinate many! Visitors will also experience this special time of year through the Santa Claus exhibit at Montréal’s World Trade Center, as well as by admiring the wonderful decorations of Old Montreal shops, museums and hotel lobbies.
“These visits are the perfect way to start the holiday season and to learn more about the traditions of this joyous time of year! In fact, this tour is a first Christmas gift to yourself… in good company!” enthuses Louise Hébert, President of Guidatour.
This year’s tours will once again be on Saturdays, on December 1st, 8th and 15th. Tours are from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in English and 4:00pm to 5:30pm in French. Rates are $17.00 per person, taxes included. Please note that private bookings are also possible for the date and time of your choice, so why not do something a bit different before the annual office Christmas party! For the occasion, The Old Montreal’s Extravaganza Festival offers a free, outdoor choral which will sing magnificent Christmas songs on Place Jacques-Cartier and in front of Bonsecours Market on Saint-Paul street week-ends of December.

The Extravaganza also invites the public to follow the Route of the Nativity Scenes, where everyone can discover and admire various nativity scenes created by local and foreign artists. This short tour will be available throughout the month of December.
